Shine Your Life

What if your work was the real cause of your weight gain?

You're on your way home from work sold outand in the evening, you eat to compensate Sugar, fat, salt... It doesn't matter, as long as it soothes you. You tell yourself that it's stronger than youthat you have need this moment to release the pressure... But deep down, you feel guilty.

What you may not know is that work-related stress and exhaustion have a direct impact on your weight.

Your body doesn't betray you.
He is simply trying to dealing with an untenable situation.

What if, instead of fighting your compulsive eating habits, you just did it?
you were going to look for the real cause of this need to compensate ?

I don't blame you: I'd put on 17kg before collapsing in burnout!
I was doing my best to lose weight but to no avail!

Shine Your Life

Why does your work have an impact on
your weight?

Why does your work have an impact on your weight?

Le chronic stress and the mental workload have profound effects on your metabolism, hormones and eating habits.

Your weight gain is not a question of willpower.
It is a physiological and emotional reaction to burnout.

Here's why your work influences your weight :

What I’ll be exploring:

Your body, under pressure, produces cortisolthe stress hormone, which blocks weight loss and stimulates cravings for sugar and fat.

After a stressful day at work, your brain is looking for something to do. quick reward. Cuddly food (sugar, chocolate, comfort food) is becoming a automatic solution to soothe
your nervous system.

Stress alters your intestinal flora, which regulates in part your food cravings and your metabolism. An unbalanced microbiota can encourage compulsions and block weight loss.

Work-related stress affects the quality of your sleepwhich reduces the production of leptin (the satiety hormone) and increases ghrelin (the hunger hormone). And the result?
You are hungrier and store food more easily.

You may work in energy-intensive taskswhich require an enormous amount of effort on your part, but which don't give you any satisfaction. Result : you come home exhausted and your brain demands immediate compensation... often in the form of comfort food.

When you work stimulating activitiesin agreement with your potential strengthsyour brain produces dopamine and serotoninThis reduces the urge to compensate by eating.

Who am I and how can I help you?

I am Peggy Giraulthypnotherapist specialising in eating habits, neuroscience and professional retraining.

Before supporting women in these areas, I myself have experienced burnout. I felt this constant fatiguethis crushing stressthis pervasive mental workload...
and above all, the need to compensate with food on the way home in the evening.

I looked for solutions, tried diets, tried to 'control' myself... but nothing worked. Then I realised that the problem wasn't the food, but the work and energy I was putting into the wrong things. That's when I made a potential assessmentwho revealed to me my strengths and deepest aspirations. It has enabled me to realign my professional life with my well-being.

Today, thanks to my training in hypnosis, chronobiology, micronutrition and applied neuroscienceI support women who are going through
the same situation I was in.

Your work takes the whole place. You find it hard to get organised and you end up forget youcontinued fatigue, stress and weight gain.

Poor sleep disrupts your hunger hormoneswhich leads you to snack more and store more easily.

No matter how hard you try watch what you eat, nothing changes. Chronic stress and exhaustion can slow down your metabolismmaking it more difficult to lose weight.
